Talip Apaydın “Orhan Veli, Melih Cevdet, Necati Cumalı, Erol Güney, Dora Güney’in hazır bulunduğu bir toplantıda okuduğu;
‘Gökteki puhu kuşu
Ne güzel duruyorsun
Rüzgara karşı
Sallanmadan korkmadan
Ama buna ben hayranım
Senin için iş mi’
şiirini Orhan Veli’ye verir. Üstat Veli, “Tamam, şiir bu işte. Güzel. Hep böyle yaz…” cevabıyla beğendiğini söyler.”1

“We return for the moment to Theodorus’s introduction of Theaetetus in the Theaetetus. Regarding the young mathematician, Theodorus says that he has “never met a young man with a nature so wondrously fine [οὐδένα πω ᾐσθόμην οὕτω θαυμαστῶς εὖ πεφυκότα]” (Theaet. 144a). Thus, the first words of praise regarding Theaetetus invoke wonder (θαυμαστός): his nature is so fine as to be wondrous, to be something at which to wonder. This foreshadows the affiliation of Theaetetus with wonder that will culminate at the point where wonder is disclosed as the ἀρχή of philosophy (Theaet. 155d). Theodorus continues his praise, saying that Theaetetus is one who learns easily (εὐμαθής). Then Theodorus concludes with a “wonderful” remark, saying that this young man advances toward learning and investigation “like a stream [ῥεῦμα] of olive oil flowing without a sound, so that one wonders [θαυμάσαι] that he accomplishes all this at his age” (Theaet. 144b).”2
